Mr. Glenn A. Clinefelter, 76, of Rock Hill died Friday, May 21, 2010 at his home with his family.

A memorial service will be held11:00 AM Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bill McCutchen officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Born in Fredonia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Clinefelter was the son of the late William Lister Clinefelter and Margaret Lees Clinefelter. He was a US Navy Veteran from 1952 until 1957 serving on the destroyer, USS Wadliegh and the USS Pompon submarine. He was a Master Mason for 53 years and member of Armstrong Lodge # 26 in Newport, Delaware. He was also a member of the Oasis Shrine Temple in Charlotte, NC where he was a volunteer Tripster transporting patients to Shrine Hospitals. Mr. Clinefelter was a faithful and dedicated Rotarian for 52 years and was active with the Rock Hill Club and Rotary International. He retired after 32 years of service from the UNISYS Corporation and was an arbitrator with NASD. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, a volunteer for Meals On Wheels, a member of the founding committee for the annual Boy Scout Golf Tournament of Mecklenburg County, and promoted golf tournaments for charities and Christian schools.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Fay Clugston Clinefelter; son, Daniel W. Clinefelter and wife Jeannie of Wayne, Michigan; daughter, Lynda Cox and husband Kevin of Waynesboro, Virginia: brother, Robert Clinefelter and wife Marilee of Mesa, Arizona; sister, Mae Flinn and husband Robert of Transfer Pennsylvania.

Mr. Clinefelter was preceded in death by sisters, Helen McGhee, Betty Craig, and brother William R. Clinefelter.
